Just wanted to ask “Is working as a costumer service officer (CSR) at some mobile operator worth a job for a business graduate and would it count much if someone wants to pursue an MBA abroad after gaining few years of work experience???”
Some people say that you decrease your own value by doing such a job and that it will not have a good impact on your next possible employer i.e. you will stick to the same level and it will undermine your abilities in front of him.
There are some such vacancies available but I am unsure whether to go for them or not???
customer relationship officer can mean many things, and there are multiple levels of hierarchy in each area.
what do u mean by it, it can range from a call center guy who answers phones to a relationship manager who manages corporate relationships.
what type of company is it, what industry, what type of experience do youhope to get etc, all this is important.
what is the profile of other ppl in that role?
Dear X2 its a front office job at mobile operators like Warid & Telenor and you are required to deal with costumers and solve their queries and problems, I have my personal interest in either marketing or finance but here the dept. is of costumer service dont know it relates to marketing or finance in someway or not? You are also given some sales targets (a marketing function) and you handle the proceeds of your sales i.e. Cash and have to report them to the manager at the time of closing (it becomes finance to some extent as it involves a bit of money handling). Post MBA i would like to pursue a career in either of these two functions i.e. finance or marketing......
U asked abt the profile of other people.... well they are normally graduates of any discipline, some have some experience in such area some are fresh.
Thanks adrasteia for your informative post.........
