like if someone works as a bouncer in clubs, do u feel his earning is not halal? cuz as a bouncer he is exposed to all kinda non-islamic stuff tat normally happens in clubs/pubs.
he doesnt drink but he has to bear alcohol splashing all over him when there are fights. he doesnt care abt the gals but he has to at times carry them out of pubs cuz they are too drunk to walk out. And of course not to mention all the things he have to see and resist while on duty, exposed skin, zinah, drugs etc.
plus some ppl find it unacceptable tat he’s working for clubs/pubs businesses and their earnings are not considered halal.
this person is juz doing this job out of majboori to earn a living, and he is a very strong person who wont fall into drinking or one-nite stands.
do u think u urself wud do this job or let ur bf, hubby, bro etc do this job?
What if the bouncer only stands outside and only comes in when hes needed. :D
Theres the point that the earnings come from haraam source, thats true that should make it haraam. But I just thought of it this way right now...
Imagine you work in the police, your job would also include stopping trouble makers from making trouble at bars. Your job would also include protrcting all people and their clubs and bars from crime, but that doesnt make it haraam right?
My verdict, which is not very reliable (lol), is that this job should be taken when theres no alternative, better than unemployment, but not if you can get another job.
Can't he work at resturants or somewhere else? Theres gotta be more options out there. How much more cuold he possibly make working at a club vs. resturant? Is that lil bit of profit worth doing something that could possibly be haram? If he leaves it for the sake of Allah, I am sure Allah would put barkah into whatever he does.
Personally, I wouldn't do it, neither would i let my fiance/bro/son do it. They can work harder to get halal income.
a bouncer is an obvious case - nowadays, being in a metropolitan city, everyday mundanbe jobs can be considered "Non_halal", if you wanna call it that. Take a Taxi Driver, is constantly supporting the cause of "Do not Drink and Drive" this is another reason why people drink more, are his earnings considered Halal - Be it Majboori - its on his concounse, is this his hell - what he has to endure to make it to a better place - be it here or afterwards - your thoughts
he's part of a security agency. he's deployed to whereva security is needed as and when necessary.
mostly he's in clubs but other times he's a bodyguard for visiting stars (singers, actors etc) and provide security for events, concerts etc.
he's a man in black :D
i used to be against this job myself and still trying to accept it. tats y needed everyone's views.
considering his lack of education, i think he doesnt have much choice. he've been in this line for da past 10 yrs, and despite being exposed to all that stuff in clubs, to be as clean as he is, i definitely respect him much more now.
i know this guy who does SOMETHING similar to this.. but matters of person between him and god's are between him and god..
for CRITIQUE's sake, if its an agency, and it sends him for protecting celebraties, u can ALWAYS quesiton the money coming from celebrities? rite? on the other hand, if 90% of his hours are standing outside club, and going in when needed, PRIMARY purpose is to keep peace.. alcohol's presence however makes it a bit cloudy issue regarding halaal/haraam, as money IS coming from a haraam source.. over-all, NOTHING in today's society is halaal ..
like u getting paid, the process of you GETTING paid itself is not halaal..
i am not a mufti, i cant issue a fatwa, but if u want my honest opinion, go as far as the thought "he is the employee of security agency and he's been sent to all sorts of location"
