Work -what should I do?

I applied for summer placement at a pharmacy earlier this year. In March I got a letter from them saying that I got accepted and I was given a choice of 2 start dates. I had to sign the contract and also fill in a form saying which start date I would like. I completed both of these and returned both of them back to the address which i was supposed to send it to.

The start date I chose was 20th June…only a week left.

but they havent written back to me after that…to again confirm when I will start or whether there will be an induction day etc.

what am I supposed to do? call them up and find out whats going on? or should I go there on the start date…being as they have told me which branch I will be working at.

so for all of those who have worked in the past, tell me how this works :slight_smile: I have never worked in my life before so I dont know how these things work. ur help would be much appreciated :slight_smile:

call them up to confirm atleast 3/4 days before you go in.. and good luck :-)

I would call them to check what time you have to be in for, so that way you have a reason to say why you have called them rather than just calling to check when you are starting.

but shouldnt they have written a letter telling me when to start etc. ? :bummer:

the job better still be on…u know im delaying my pak holiday for this job, and i will be very annoyed if its changed or something :rolleyes:
