So my problem area is my arms. I used to workout A LOT and had a decent amount of muscle but when I stopped working out…that muscle turned into fat. My fear is seeing that fat start to fall and shake like batwings!
My favorite favorite favorite things are my hand weights. I have two 5lbs, two 3lbs and one 12lbs hand weights. I sit in front of my TV and run down a simple workout that I have for my arms these days.
The video I am posting is soooooooooooo simple but very effective. The only suggestions I have to add to this are:
Make sure your arms are at 90 degree angles.
Do not lock your elbows…always keep them soft.
Keep your feet shoulder width apart.
Do not let your back move, keep it **straight…**even if it means working harder with the weights.
Do not swing the weights, CONTROL them and your movement.
Do not go fast…keep your repititions slow and steady.
The weights he uses are obviously A LOT heavier then what I would use but the things to focus on are the moves and positioning your body correctly.
If you are experiencing pain, here is how to identify if its good or bad:
Locate the pain…if its in a muscle and you start to actually feel the muscle working…its good pain and we want that. It means your body is waking up and is finally really working out.
If the pain is in a joint or you feel burning/tearing sensations…STOP IMMEDIATELY.

Awesome. I thinks this point need to emphasised on more. I would epeat it every so often for new readers.
This is such an ignorant statement. how old are you?
Using dumbles for your arms and over all body is one of the best exercise routines for women. If you don’t exercise your arms, you will end up with flabby arms eventually in later age… anyone who keeps up with these exercises will have those gorgeous toned arms. 5lbs and below are the best weights for most women.
with all due respect mr decent_felow, but when it comes to working out/exercising there are no equipments especially for guys or girls. Everything is exactly the same. The only difference is the amount of weight one lifts. Be it dumbbells, bench press station or squatting.
A girl lifting a dumbbells will not make her manly in any way.
Personally , i would love to see our desi girls use all the different equipments possible to get in shape.
I Read it somewhere don't know if it's effective or not but u can try if u want . Just wave your hand everyday for 1 min then increase gradualy.Wave it in a way as if you are waving to someone saying "bye". The writer claimed it to be very effective.

Hello Iksa,
Theres nothing to be ashamed of. People come in all shape and sizes.. are you sure its just the arms that got bigger over time and not ur whole body? wear short sleeves more often and only then you'll get the motivation of working on them, or else you'll keep on hiding them under long sleeves and will forget about it altogether. Check your diet and stay away from junk foods and start hitting gym more often. Do cardio more often and 'work those arms' !
FrozenFire,
Thanks for your advice!!! Yeh my weight increased after my marriage....I've lost 13 kg just in a few months...but those arms...it'll take time I think!! and lots of exercise
