so whats the deal people… what needs to change.
I think its just gravity taking its course … but I have weddings to go to.
Please share your exp. not something u’ve read in a magazine.
Everyone plateaus eventually......it just means that you've become fitter and now your body is used to the exercise and you need to increase the intensity.
It doesn't necessarrilly mean you have to work out for longer though, you can cut down your treadmill time and run faster instead. Increase your weights too. Maybe you should introduce other machines like the rower etc too.
^ dude dont' worry you wont' end up looking like one of those Mr' universe type ladies....those women who say they're that muscular are lying....they take shizloads of steroids. women dont' have that much testosterone that they can become so buff...heck men don't even have that much testosterone to get those type fo physiques
Thats just a common misconception......building muscle mass actually burns more fat in the long run as it burns calories even in 'resting' mode. You would have to be lifting vast amounts of weights almost all the time to get to the 'buff' stage because womens bodies are not gentically preconditioned to bulk up to that degree.
If you feel you have hit a plateau then try mixing the workout up. Change routines for different days...change weights..number of repetitions..try alternative ways of hitting the smae muscle group. should take care of the malaise..
When you are in treadmill you need to have a certain amount of Heart rate for an effective weight loss. Otherwise even doing for an hour or two may not be good enough. Infact you may just need a 20 - 30 minutes of good cardio along with crunches. I would also bring some diversity in the exercise program. This is what I would do to make sure all areas of body is responding well to the excercises.
Treadmill - 20 minutes
Step master - 20 minutes
cycling - 20 minutes.
Measuring Heart rate :
Maximum heart rate = 220 - (yourage)
Target Heart rate ( for excercises) = 50 to 80 percent of your Maximum Heart Rate
Also I'm not too sure about salads. I heard Salad dressings in some cases contains more fat. Dietician will tell you the importance of 3-5 meals( in small portions) in a day. Ofcourse I don't need to state the obvious but try to keep a good balance of low fat and low carbs.
It won't be a bad idea to check out the atkins or south beach diet program. I have seen it working. ACtually it worked on me :D
As far weights are concerned I'm not too sure about lifting heavy weights for women. Light wieghts and more reps should tone t
I do boot camp workout, and I do it twice a day 7days a week, also tredmill, light weights and everything else. I only eat lunch which is something simple, if I need to look good I need to work hard!
