Re: Work out and Diet Plan
I don't drink/like any other fizzy drinks. I'm taking baby steps. These days I'm down to 1 coke once every 2 weeks or so. I think of it as a "treat".
Yes, hubby and I see our trainer once a week. I haven't seen him for a month b/c of my shoulder injury but once it heals, I'll get back to my routine. And yes, each time I see my trainer, he talks to me about what I ate that week. My particular trainer also sends out e-mails to all this clients 1-2x/week with nutrition/workout tips.....motivational stories from his clients etc. Heck even though I haven't see him in a month, he has still been keeping in touch with me though e-mail asking how my shoulder is healing, what foods I'm consuming, and whether or not I'm staying active at the gym (shoulder is preventing me from using my arms to do any work-outs so right now, I'm doing stairmaster and leg/abs stuff that doesn't require me to use my arms).
Also, to get tips for workouts/diet and also just for motivation, I love to go through the articles on bodybuilding.com (on the section for females). While I have no intention of going into bodybuilding or becoming a professional model like most of those women.....their stories and before/after pics give me inspiration. I also like watching the short videos showing different workouts just to get ideas.
That was my next question to ask about the blogs. I don't read any , I just get inspired by successful stories people write in the newspaper. I shall be reading health blogs more.
Keep sharing the tips with us if you can please. :)
Lily, I don't have flaxeed oil, but I eat 2 tablespoons of milled flaxseeds everyday. It's quite tasty when mixed in yoghurt. I try to eat fish at least 2-3 times per week.
If you want real motivation, just watch The Biggest Loser. Watching people challenge themselves, get out of their comfort zones and over their own self-imposed restrictions is unbelievably inspiring and motivating.
I 'll buy flaxseeds then,it is better than using oil. You eat fish 3 times per week , how about red meat, chicken etc?
