Girlies, After traipsing round the shops (Oxford Street) for hours and I can’t find a nice large bag to use for my commute
I find that my bags are too small to fit a medium sized book, purse, umbrella and a few other bits and bobs and the worst is the straps are so short that the bag slips down my arm, I want something I can carry on the shoulder without it slipping off to work and back
I am looking for a darkish tan or black.. not too much pattern, colours and no patches of other fabric, I hate suede, cloth patterns
I used to love Liz Claiborne type bags and quite like the Fiorelli designs but the quality of the leather is not so great on the Fiorelli and Liz Claiborne was soemthign I could find only in TX Maxx
Can anyone help.. I am in the London area so don’t mind travelling to get a good bag to get me through the commute..
Selfridges usually have a good selection as do John Lewis
My personal favourite though is TK Maxx although it can depend on the branch you go to as to the range they offer.

I have bought bags from TK Maxx which were mega reduced eg one I bought was from £389 to £18!! (CK black work handbag - similar ones were still in the CK store in Trafford Centre at full price!!)
That's where I buy too and get bargains but nothing in store these days.. I saw one I liked but I wasn't that nice for the £75 price tag
