Re: Work at Home
You can go and look for freelance work on guru.com, elance.com , odesk.com , these are the sites I have used to hire people for my projects.
They have all kind of freelance opportunities.
Re: Work at Home
why is it that you want to work from home?
are you only looking for work from home roles or other roles open?
this is something that may be of interest to engineering firms which work on infrastructure projects.
Re: Work at Home
Depends on where you live and which industry. Market in general is good for reporting related IT jobs if that's what you are looking for. Working from home can be tricky to start with. Most companies require you to work from office initially for a couple of months and then depending on performance, you could request WFH.
You could look for local preferred vendors for a company near your place (Google local consulting companies) and work on contract basis. Gives you freedom to WHM (in most cases) as well as flexibility to change projects. And you'll have better luck with finding WFH options in private companies than government (of what I've heard government offices prefer you to come to office in majority of the cases unless you are a contracter). And like everyone said, scanning through all job sites is always a good option. Even though I haven't tried Craigslist, there is always some kind of freelance work posted. I'd be a bit careful though but genuine ads do exist. (Sometimes people/small start-ups want to delegate their work and post adds on Craigslist)
All the Best.
PS: This could also be an ideal time for you to maybe read/get up to speed on the latest technology/tools if information systems is where you want to stay (maybe take short courses in your local college..etc). It would help give a boost to your resume, esp. when you've been in the same job/industry for 5 yrs.
