Quran is consider a direct message from Allah, words of God. Why does voice in it shifts continually. Sometimes God is referred in plural first person as “we”, sometimes singular “I” , and sometimes in the third person (your lord, Him etc)?

we = God and His Angels .. (heavenly court)
I = God alone
Forgive me if i am wrong :) and do correct me plz if i am!
The Arabic language has 2 types of nouns.
One for numbers and
One for Respect.
We, I and Us all refer to the Individual out of Respect.
That is why for 1400 years no Arab Jew or Christian has asked this question. Because they are well aware of this fact and know their language.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks sholay and surror for the responses.

Why does God refer to himself with less/more respect. wy not same??
Jhankar
God is not refering to Himself with more or less respect.
The respect is ALL the same!
Different nouns are used in line with Arabic Grammar!
The is a grammatical issue.
It might be an idea to take a short course on Arabic, and hopefully you'll understand what I'm saying.
thanks!!
and why is it sometimes in the third person (your lord, Him etc)?
Jhankar
There's a book called 'Basic Qur'aanic Arabic Grammar' by Jamal-Un-Nisa Bint Rafai, Ph.D.
Please find it and read it!
All your queries will be answered.
Later.
There’s an article that was previously posted on this forum that deals with this topic.

thanks Iqbal for the informative article.
