“I hate you” can mean “I love you”
“Go away” can mean “come closer”

However I do not agree that that No means Yes or I hate you in fact means I love you ! There are some things one should be clear about in words and in actions .***

I read that only 10% of the communication is verbal, 90% is the body language. Off coruse in many cases, 10% would do but where emotions are involved, you need to listen to the body language of the other person.
I know that when my 3 1/2 years old is real angry and emotionally hurt, she screams at me .. go away .. but all she wants me to lift her up and hug her.

Kind of, yes. But just words can pass the message too if you are not bringing emotions in.

I dont think thats always the case. One can sound very annoyed or let's say 'unfriendly' with just words...when they dont mean it like that at all. body language and tone of voice (in the case of talking on the fone) can definitely express more..

err .i hate u means i hate u for people unless they know u meant to say u love them.And that happens only if people know u very well.
people interpret the words by their actual meaning but not as how u use them
the term "gay" which i use a lot gets misinterpreted all the time.words do hold a meaning and using them for something for ur own meaning that u made up in ur mind deosnt make sense to everyone.
only when used by some desis, at a sweet age, just before/after they get hitched
