Woolmer's Update ...

they wanted to hire bob woomler even before they hired miandad but for some reason he didnt really accept PCB’s offer earlier but later on he did and it was right after the indo pak series. and I dont really think that they are paying him more than miandad… correct me if i am wrong :konfused:

There are lot of benefits besides the salary that bob receives from PCB.

I am confused, if coach is not responsible for his team performance then why did we fire Miandad. Why we brought this Guy and his compatriots for huge Salaries.

Miandad was a good player, but he is definately not a good coach.

Jang Urdu reports today that Bob has seeked the help of Ian Chappell (who had been advising Pakistani batsmen in the media recently). Today, Thursday Dec 23, Chappell joined Pakistan team in Melbourne and remained there for the whole session with batsmen. He will remain with the team for the rest of the tour on Bob’s request.

Well I certainly not agree with your thoughts, he was one of the better coach we got in recent times, though his coaching period was effected by senior players influence or should i say "Tana Shahi" and plus he was never given the green light as Bob Woolmer has and the backing by the board.

He certainly had a mind of fox when it came to cricket, in terms of coaching or playing cricket.

Greg Chappel, not Ian Chappell. Ian chappell NEVER helps anyone against Australia. Greg Chappell was hired by PCB last year for a stint at Academy as well.

Bob Woolmer is a Coach and under this capacity he is introducing various tactical “Game training” “Psycho approach” & improvisation of techniques and flaws.

Some one mentioned above ^ “You can take the horse to the water, but you can not make it drink” such is the case right now.
The reasons are quite basic and simple;
Lack of true Leadership / Captaincy / Game application - Schemer
Lack of innovative techniques in Batting, Bowling, Fielding
Lack of "Availability of senior/retired players to Socialize with new buds
Lack of coaching availability on the local scene
Lack of sustainable structure of PCB it self and to nominate a Selection committee

Reason of Sudden withdrawal / Retirement and exit of many senior players
Have created a vacuum which could take up to 2 years to fill and find appropriate replacements.
Until then - Forget about Maindad & Co. and enjoy the game and young lads.
