Geo reported that the press conference was suppose to start by now but it hasnt and the commisioner Jamican police just left Pakistan's media manager.

Reports are emerging that Bob Woolmer may have been murdered after marks were discovered on the Pakistan coach's neck. Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room on Sunday and died shortly after in a Jamaica hospital.
Woolmer's family said after speaking to doctors they expected his death was caused by a stress-related heart attack. An autopsy completed on Tuesday was inconclusive and further forensic tests were ordered to determine the cause of death. A press conference in Jamaica is currently underway.

I agree with LahoriMunda. Since they have decided to do this conference so late in the night (local time) - they must have something important or sensational to reveal. Or else they could have waited till morning.
On second thoughts, they might have wanted to do this tonight in view of the Pak-Zim match tomorrow.

It may or may not be sensational but i think in either case they are doing it now so the match tomorrow can go underway without problems.

I am amazed that Indian media has so far not got wind of this news - or at least that is what it seems like from visiting the Indian news websites.
Aaj Tak and Headlines Today have been covering it for the past half hour. I would guess it takes more time to update the websites with the latest news.

Woolmer may or may not have been murdered, but there's no chance the matches could've been fixed. The match fixing days are long gone, and besides, to fix a match, the fixer would've had to believe Pakistan would win those matches otherwise.
yaar it wasnt too long ago when a westindian player was caught on talking to a bookie on the phone and giving him the next match plans

HT covering it right now. It says the PJ Mir has denied the Geo report. HT has found a geo reporter and they asked what their source is and he has declined to give the name of his source (duh) but the press conference is about to start in a few minutes.
Apparently there is a rumor that Bob Woolmer was comoing out with a book with sensational stuff in it. The book has already been written though so it might still come out.

Thats what the speculations are that Bob was going to publish his book after the world cup and he was going to reveal some very snesitive information in the book.

**JAMAICA: The investigations into mysterious death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer has taken a dramatic turn as it is feared that Woolmer was murdered.
New Findings from a post mortem into the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer show apprehensions that he was murdered, the police said.
This report came to surface after further investigations were carried out by a toxicologist and a histologist (scientist who examines body tissue) into death of Woolmer.
Earlier, the findings from a post mortem into the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer were “inconclusive”, the Pakistan Cricket Board said.
Spokesman Pervez Mir told a news conference that further investigations were being carried out by a toxicologist and a histologist (scientist who examines body tissue).
Mark Shields, deputy commissioner of the Jamaican police constabulary (crime division), said that the body could not be released until the pathologist had completed his examination.
“I know that the scientists are treating it with the utmost urgency in order that we can hopefully repatriate the body to his family as soon as possible,” said Shields.
Asked when the scientists’ conclusions would be available, Shields replied: “I just know they are working as quickly as possible to provide the information that we need. I hope it’s today but it could be tomorrow.”
He added that it was quite normal for there to be delays over a post mortem findings and refused to speculate on the causes of the death.
The police said he died in hospital at 12:14 p.m. local time (5:14 p.m. British time) on Sunday.
Woolmer, 58, was found unconscious in his Kingston hotel room on Sunday after his team had been eliminated from the World Cup by debutants Ireland less than 24 hours earlier.
