do you really think the body is decomposing? What if Mrs. Woolmer has a medical condition that is preventing her from taking a journey to Jamaica?
And what would you say about the two sons. Is the whole family suffering from one medical condition or the other.
As for decomposing, I based my opinion on Anna Nicole Smith's case. The custody battle that followed her death had to be expedited because her body had started to decompose after 3-4 days.

esp since Woolmer's wife appears to have no problems giving interviews all around. She has even declared that Woolmer died of Stress even though the cause of death is still under investigation by the police.

All of you guys stop acting like desi aunties at a funeral pointing fingers at how his wife should/shouldn't mourn? And how heartless she is cuz she's not outright wailing. She could just be in denial, a form of grief. People develop defense mechanisms to make it hurt less.
The sad truth is that his body is still sitting there in some cold morgue. He's alone.

It's not philosophy, it's called medicine. Denial is a recognized stage of grief in medicine.
And don't all of you get ur panties in a bunch because I said he's alone. I know we're alone the moment we die, however, I'm saddened because he deserve a proper burial, the sooner the better, rather than this drama. I think thats why his wife doesn't encourage the notion that there was any misplay, she just wants him to rest in peace and that his body be respected.

Au Contraire, I think Iconoclast has a valid point. What kind of people prefer to stay put at home while the dead body of a beloved family member is decomposing abroad for close to a week. Usually, I would expect people to fly out by the first available flight.

*Dr Saheb/Sahibaa....*Don't you think the denial stage has gone on long enough....and we are not talking of one person...but THREE family members here. And what medical syndrome would explain Mrs Woolmer coming out of the denial stage when giving interviews to all and sundry.

Just because his wife did not travel to WI does not mean that she is any less devastated. maybe she thought the best way to deal with the grief was to be near her loved ones, i.e.the two sons. This way they can share each other's grief and provide comfort to each other. Also they will probably be busy preparing for his funeral arrangements. Surely at the start of this episode they did not realize the drama which was about to unfold.

Anyway I think you are looking at one side of the picture. What some1 said I felt that as well after watching the interviews of Woolmer's wife. All of us are speculating.
