Very disappointing interview. He’s got such a defeatist attitude. I hope the team don’t share it. If they do, it’s hard to imagine a draw, let alone a victory. He talks about the AUssies like gods. He’s got to realise that the AUssies don;t have horns on their heads and the Pakistanis henna on their hands
I have no problem with the truth, but you've got to have a positive attitude. He said a draw would be success and a 1-0 loss satisfactory. That is bullshi*.
Before India toured AUs, Tendulkar said: ""We know we are playing a great side and they know they are playing a great side, so it going to one great series". Now that's the kind of attitude a team should have.
Maybe he was trying to tone down the expectations of the Pakistani public. I just hope he has higher goals than a 1-0 loss. If not, better stay at home.
Thanks for sharing ! Now Calm down and have a cold drink. :k:
There’s nothing in what he has said to suggest its a looser’s attitude.
Aussies are not God. But they have the rythem that playes the deadly tunes to the opposition. Lets hope for the best,
He’s only preparing you for the worst and an imminent surprise win,
Pakistanimunda, I am definately happy with your attitude now. Its nice to see someone cooling down like this. I think Bob Woolmer was been realistic and he is aware of Pakistani Public, he doesnt wanna bring our hopes high.
i support bob on this, i think he is very realistic and its good! we don't need ppl like shoaib claiming to have the world on there feet and then failing to deliver .............
I hope Aussies are not reading this, but this may be attempt to “complacentize” ( ) Aussies by saying we’d be good/happy with a draw loosing is not a problem, if its not mind game then its a worst thing you can do to your team you can call it “realistic” all you want but it is defeatist attitude and you can’t go anywhere with it.
Inzi has been coming up with some really positive statements.
"I want to do what no other Pakistani captain has done - win a series in Australia"
"These are Pakistan's best players and I feel it is a balanced team. Conditions in Australia are difficult but the way they have performed in the last few months, I am confident that they can perform very well there. I am going there to win, there is no compromise on that."
Maybe they're going through the good cop-bad cop routine.
Another thing. The AUssies start the mind games quite a while before the Ahses or the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Haven't done so with Pakistan. Tells you where they rate us.
