Woolmer and Butt Interviews

Woolmer Interview

Very disappointing interview. He’s got such a defeatist attitude. I hope the team don’t share it. If they do, it’s hard to imagine a draw, let alone a victory. He talks about the AUssies like gods. He’s got to realise that the AUssies don;t have horns on their heads and the Pakistanis henna on their hands

Butt Interview

Tells you a lot about the man. He seems to have a great attitude.

thank u very much for contributing.

Re: Woolmer and Butt Interviews

dude he didn’t say anything bullshi* all he said was truly right. seems like u’ve difficulty with coping the TRUTH

I have no problem with the truth, but you've got to have a positive attitude. He said a draw would be success and a 1-0 loss satisfactory. That is bullshi*.

Before India toured AUs, Tendulkar said: ""We know we are playing a great side and they know they are playing a great side, so it going to one great series". Now that's the kind of attitude a team should have.

Maybe he was trying to tone down the expectations of the Pakistani public. I just hope he has higher goals than a 1-0 loss. If not, better stay at home.

Thanks for sharing ! Now Calm down and have a cold drink. :hehe::k:

There’s nothing in what he has said to suggest its a looser’s attitude.

Aussies are not God. But they have the rythem that playes the deadly tunes to the opposition. Lets hope for the best,
He’s only preparing you for the worst and an imminent surprise win,:jhanda:

I’m calm:clown:

Maybe not. Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions. I certainly hope I am.

good attitude

Pakistanimunda, I am definately happy with your attitude now. Its nice to see someone cooling down like this. I think Bob Woolmer was been realistic and he is aware of Pakistani Public, he doesnt wanna bring our hopes high.

hmm copy cat :hoonh:

Nope, didn't see your member name before I made mine. I've been using this on another site for a long time. It's very common anyway. :)

i think bob woolmer is playing mind games which ofcourse the ausies are best at right now but woolmer definetly knows the trick of the trade

Re: Woolmer and Butt Interviews

Man let go of Bob Woolmer. He's a master at what he does, so let him do his job.

Butt's interview impressed me. Guy has a very clear mindset.

thanx for sharing

I hope this is an attempt at mind games, because if this truly does reflect his attitude, then defeatist is an understatement.

there is no doubt in bobs mind he is realistic i support his views

i support bob on this, i think he is very realistic and its good! we don't need ppl like shoaib claiming to have the world on there feet and then failing to deliver .............

well, bobby is right...i dont know why we have so diificult time accepting the fact that australia is a far better team than ours...

I hope Aussies are not reading this, but this may be attempt to “complacentize” (:hehe: ) Aussies by saying we’d be good/happy with a draw loosing is not a problem, if its not mind game then its a worst thing you can do to your team you can call it “realistic” all you want but it is defeatist attitude and you can’t go anywhere with it.

ditto, Woolmer is trying to keep a low profile, stay below the radar so to speak.

Inzi has been coming up with some really positive statements.

"I want to do what no other Pakistani captain has done - win a series in Australia"

"These are Pakistan's best players and I feel it is a balanced team. Conditions in Australia are difficult but the way they have performed in the last few months, I am confident that they can perform very well there. I am going there to win, there is no compromise on that."

Maybe they're going through the good cop-bad cop routine.

:))

Another thing. The AUssies start the mind games quite a while before the Ahses or the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Haven't done so with Pakistan. Tells you where they rate us.
