Woofers for car

I have a 96 maxima, with factory bose system but i want to install some WOOFERS in em.

Which kind of woofers or box type to stay away from? What kinda woofers do you have?

I dont like the type of woofers/system that rattle the trunk, but i want some sort of system that ppl 2 blocks can hear a THUP THUP from far away.

A couple of suggestions if u want crystal clear bass.

Clarion

1st what sort of bass do u want...rock or techno...they both have diff frequencies.

Waleed: I sold those rockfords with my old camry coupe

i just picked up 2 "12 mtx in a bandpass box, and it has a killer sound!
i think my amp is not pushing much :( , maybe a 2nd AMP will make it really boom! :D

deary me bro u to get the loudest sounds u got to get extreemly efficent sub, infinity, JL, audio bhan and kicker

alpine and clarion :nook:

oh and the most efficent i.e loud r the ported boxes. bass band r for certain frequency range … bad idea.

if u want me to explian efficency then let me know. ( its the SPL thing)

but i see u already have the speakers but if u can sell them and get different sub then it would be gd. :stuck_out_tongue:

get something efficient.. like Klipsch.. dunno if they make something for autos though..

At present, I own a decent system. Pioneer (a relatively older sturdier) CD player (not changer) with Kenwood speakers and a Cerwin Wega sub-woofer. For a small car, it produces decent enough sound. Aanhaan, two separate amplifiers. One Alpine (which feeds the speakers) and a Solid Audio (which feeds the woofer)
