Woodwards Book

Haven’t read it.

Been listening hearing all the speak about it…

Partisan…etc.

What I want to hear someone ask:

If the Iraq war was in the planning some 80-something days after the 9/11 tragedy…

Why were weapon inspections in Iraq again instigated?

Were the inspections a farce or pretense toward war?

Were inspections again instigated to find an excuse to go to war?

Why were weapon inspections in Iraq again instigated?
See Questions #2 and 3.

Were the inspections a farce or pretense toward war?
Yes.

Were inspections again instigated to find an excuse to go to war?
Yes.

It a pity majority of americans not questioning actions of their government like yourself.

Maybe some of the pathetic foriegn policies the US follows such as the bombing and sanctions on iraq, the biased policy of supporting the illegal israeli state no matter what they do can be questioned and highlighted.

But i get impression that most amerikkans don`t give a damn about politics or the damage its nation inflicts on the world.

You need petrol, you will get it, this is what you may call Bush promise to his elite business class. Time has changed and the world powers must adopt some other strategy of behavior if enter another country with arms.
If Islamic militancy had not gone against Americans, if Russians had not left Afghanistan, if Saddam had not entered Kuwait, if Saddam had not overestimated his friendship with America we might have been criticizing someone else for all mess.

Bush is not doing anything wrong. Saddam type regimes must be changed, reasons are secondary.

So Bush not doing anything wrong :bukbuk: ok if you say :hehe:

Lot of IF's aren't there?

Agree Saddam type regimes bad.

Think would have been better if the Iraqi people asked for our help to be liberated from Saddam regime.

Bush admin claiming Iraq WMD's, insinuating Saddam ties to 9/11, and Al Qaeda which evidently seem to have been unfounded reasons to justify action and is now ammunition to recruit against us.

If action was justified because of Iraq's ignoring cease-fire agreements 17 times sinse end of Gulf War, then case for war should have built solely on that fact.

Iraq is concidered war on terror today. Perhaps rightly so. But is war on terror because of the instability created by our actions.

Perhaps the admin intended this very instability in order to congregate terror organizations in Iraq so they can defeat them. Perhaps this was intention from very start.

Do recall words .... Not on our shores.

If was original intention ...... Much American support was lured by way of wool over the eyes.

Do recall words.... Iraq will welcome us.

I believe Avg Americans would much rather help someone then hurt.

What was forgotten and often not known by Avg Americans was the extent of hurt ordinary Iraqi's experienced during sanctions.

Sanctions that gave ammunition to villify America as a regime more evil than even Saddam.

Sanctions that hurt Avg Iraqi's so much that is difficult for them to trust America. But I think they tried and are disappointed by us.

Saddam is gone and they are not yet liberated. Everything in the country is broken down. And our battle with extremists is on their shores.

We promised them liberation and instead we have lured extremists to their shores. It's their homes that are being destroyed. It's their lives turned upside down. It's them subject to violence every day.

And we sit and wonder why such angst.

We sit and wonder why the dispise us.
