I have actually never tried wontons before but they look good. Does anybody have a good recipe for wontons? I would really appreciate it.

i have a timorese frend who makes the best wontons in town. she gave me a recipe, but i don't know the quantities... everything is basically according to taste.

mince ( whichever you prefer), finely chopped green chilli, bamboo shoots, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce, red chilli paste, finely chopped onion, coriander, salt n pepper to taste. Then you put it in the wonton skin, and fry em.. yum!

I may have to do some hunting around for the bamboo shoots...do you know if they are available in normal grocery stores or do I have to go to a specialty store??

Also what dipping sauce would go with these??

is a wonton a chinese raviolli? like 2 layers of pasta with a filling?

filling: cheese and veggies

go for soy sauce as the dip.
