You two need to calm down...you're making light of and picking and choosing traditions to your liking.
Faisal as Salafi's stance is what you should be adopting...
As for the fugitives in Mecca, their execution had more to do with the stratagem of war than personal grudges. They were all high profile inciters against the Prophet, and arguably were instrumental in prolonging the conflict...and I shouldn't need to remind you that our situation is in no way as dire as the Prophet's (pbuh) was...we're just unthinking and lazy.
