May Allah humiliate these modern Muslims and their supporters. Ameen.
Please don't link to that website Faisal, don't give them unnecessary traffic, it’s run by whores and dallas, most of them are not even born Muslims, most of them are either fake Amreekan converts or Hindus or Arab Coptic-Christians.
I saw the video of the mixed prayers on ARY news. It was held in a CHURCH with only 100 men and women standing right next to each other shoulder to shoulder . Most of them were goras. I don't how much they were paid come to a church and attend that so called prayer.
Ironic that you accuse me of small and limited thinking.
Listen, I’m not arguing that your traditions, culture and interpretations advocate sexism (you guys admit to it), I’m not worried about what you consider to be Islamic Shariah and I’m not arguing for women’s rights. Far be it from me to change 1400 years of tradition. I’m just here trying to understand a mindset that is foreign to me and pointing out that whether you consider it to be ordained by Allah or not, it is unequal rights with women being on the short end.
Oh, I dont think the issue is whether it is in Islamic Shariah or not. I'm sure it is.
But the question is - was the rule right in the first place? Was it JUSTIFIED based on evidence from the Quran and the Prophet's teachings?
:)
BIG difference.
The Shariah was made for a male-dominated society, not an egalitarian society.
That's why no Islamic country has been able to work.
The Islamic Empire survived for so long because they were building the Shariah and adding on to it accordingly, so there was flexibility. Today, no country who wants to take the Shariah on would ever imagine the CONCEPT of adjusting the Shariah for the needs of the time.
Time has changed. Women are much more open and willing to step up to the same responsibilities a man takes on in society.
That is FIFTY - 50 - Percent of your popoulation that is now beginning to finally stretch its wings.
And I am absolutely not surprised that most muslim men are crying "bloody hell!" over this issue.
As Kramer says in Seinfeld..."I'm lovin' every minute of it, Jerry!"
Its not about unequal rights, there is a logic behind it and above all its not allowed in our religion. If we are going to flout everything and anything that goes against our understanding of an issue and just on the pretext of acording equal rights to the women; in that case I do not think there would be any need for following the religion at all.
“A woman’s body is private,” Sheikh Sayed Tantawi wrote in a column in the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram in which he was asked about Wadud’s planned prayer. “When she leads men in prayer, in this case, it’s not proper for them to look at the woman whose body is in front of them. Even if they see it in their daily life, it shouldn’t be in situations of worship, where the main point is humility and modesty.”
That prayer was carreid out in a Church which is a clear indication that non-Muslim factors are invlolved in this fitna with liberal so-called Muslims.
does it really appear in scriptures or just made up
prayers annulled by women, monkeys or dogs passing in front,
Narrated 'Aisha: The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, “Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people).” I said, “You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away, for I disliked to face him.” (Sahih Bukhari 1.490, also Sahih Bukhari 1.493)
HAs any one posted some islamic refrence supporting this action.....if not ....it is not worth discussing then...clear attempt by abul fazal and faizees of modern world to harm islamic community.
there were references. It was like way back on page 1 or 2 somewhere, which very few thought worthy to discusss. Instead people keep talking about “this is the way its always been”.
