AH HA! That is the obvious contradiction!

Re: Women...
Well that is interesting. Now I wonder about the rest of the women my comment was directed too....eh? What if the guy does something? Then its great isn't it?
He knows I don't care about this stuff so I don't expect him to do anything. And trust me, he won't. The thing is that after a while, your spouse/significant other should know what makes you happy and if you can use your energy towards that instead of following the bandwagon, it's a job well done.

what's the contradiction. ANY DAY if the choice is between thinking of me/bringing me flowers/chocolate OR not, the better option is obvious. The same will be true tomorrow. :D
Re: Women...
I know what you did for V-Day! ;)
Re: Women...
I like flowers and greeting cards. If you are going to get me those on other days without me expecting them, then I dont care about Valentine's Day. \
Otherwise, I best get some flowers!!
Re: Women...
It's not.
It really isnt!!!! A woman will welcome flowers and anything remotely sweet anytime of the year!!!
Re: Women...
I love Valentine's Day but only because I'm sentimental, I still have the very first roses he gave me so you can imagine why I'd like it. I get roses for my mom too. I don't think it's a big deal.
Re: Women...
why are you guys such haters? i dont understand why women say "we never celebrate it because every day is like valentine's day for us"...really you guys are super lovey dovey 365 days of the year? stop being so bitter...its just one day thats been given significance secularly all around the world...its just like mother's day or father's day....hell it could've been on the 15th of february but why is it so wrong to treat ur loved one extra-extra special on 14th of february..when everyone's doing that too...i understand u love him/her every day of the year but its just the atmosphere and the idea of celebrating something when the whole world is also doing it.
if you have someone (and i understand u love them every day) but just take some extra time out to show them that today...and if u dont have someone then hope that one day u will :-) no reason to lash out against valentinge's day.

After all you said and one, would you oppose anyone who would like to show his or her love on any other day or days than February 14th?
Let me break it down to you here. Not everyone who has a relationship or married really celebrate February 14th as it is promoted. Not even in the parts of the world which promote this day so heavily.
Sorry to say but the parts of your statements "all around the whole world" or "whole world" means you live under a rock.
You need to get around a little more. :)

Most of Asia celebrates Valentines, my SOs cousin in Karachi gave his wife a bouquet of flowers and I hear a lot of couples were celebrating it there. ![]()

I am sure you did not get what I said.
Time for you to take a peek outside. :)

I've been to many Muslim and non-Muslim countries so I know that a lot more countries are celebrating valentines. Just because you and your social circle is not doesn't mean the other people in your country isn't celebrating :)
Re: Women…
LOL
You said that as if you know my social circle.

Re: Women…
I’m sorry if I gave the impression that I care about your life or social circle. Let me spell it out for you so you’re not confused. I do not care about what you do or who you are. I’m just telling you that people celebrate valentines day all over the world saying that they don’t is a false assumption.

Next time you should not.
Loved it when you said "all around the world". :)
A lot of people in love or happily married do not really 'celebrate' this day all around the world... and....no hell breaks upon them. Love does not require candies/cards/flowers on a particular day.
P.S. Try not to give evidence from 'news' or TV ads.
Re: Women...
What part of "I've been to Muslim and Non-Muslim countries" didn't you understand? I said all over the world. Some people don't celebrate Eid does that mean Eid isn't being celebrated? Some people don't celebrate Christmas does that mean its not being celebrated?

Sorry: You are not thinking before writing.
Someone said above it is a secular day and you are comparing that to Eid? ;)
There is a difference in 'some' and ' a lot'.
I said a lot of people regardless of their background do not 'celebrate' Valentine.
Please start making sense for me to further discuss.
