You know why? Because its not a mistake. Period. Its a horrible thing to do, and you break your marriage contract by doing so. Its unacceptable. And its about time you girls stop defending guys who misbehave.
I generally agree with you on this, as in today's environment I would consider this a crime.

everyone's input has been very informative.... either way to forgive or not, it really depends on the woman's situation.
i didnt mean to say women who leave are doing the wrong thing. different women would have different circumstances and therefore different considerations and decision.
eventually we have to live with the results of our actions. and the best actions would be those that do not cause us any regrets. but then again we wouldnt know what the future holds. Allah knows better.
