But doesn’t that also imply “degrees” of fakeness. If someone gifts me something I don’t like, what is the right thing to do: lie and say thank you - unkay dil rakhnay kay liyay or be rude and tell them it’s ugly? Doesn’t intent also play a part behind how we perceive another’s fakeness?

It’s still fake…but the intentions are in the right place. I brought up the gift example to show that not only are we all fake from time to time…sometimes it’s necessary.
