Women Suits!

Re: Women Suits!

I dont want them tight or loose :o

Re: Women Suits!

I want it to fit but not too tight.

Re: Women Suits!

Frauen!

Re: Women Suits!

try banana republic. they too have a petite collection.
victoria secret has nice dressy pants with absolutely the perfect cut and fit.

Re: Women Suits!

Ooooo why didnt I think of banana republic :hmmm:

Re: Women Suits!

I agree with the BR suggestion. Their clothes are terrific, however they might tend towards the long side. How about Ann Taylor? That's where many professional women go to get suits. Either Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft, and both stores have petite sections. Macy's has a petit section too, with good suits, there's also JC Penny, Marshalls. Can't think of any other national chain stores right now. I first thought you were in NYC too, and was about to list some places in the city. Also, do keep in mind, that getting a suit tailored is often a must, but it's a good thing. A nicely tailored outfit is really worth the extra money, because will accentuate your figure and fit much better on you. Well-fitted does not mean tight, just that it looks better on you.

Re: Women Suits!

Great Lakes has Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus Last Call, Marshall’s, Anne Taylor, Jones NY, lots of stuff. Yeah Sommerset is expensive.

Re: Women Suits!

How much is it to get a suit tailored? I haven't heard of any places that do that here.

Re: Women Suits!

^ Any decent dry cleaner can do it can’t they?

My pants cost abt $8 to get shortened.. that shud giv u andaza :clown:

Re: Women Suits!

agree (aside from the bloomingdale bit)

the suit can be last and be updated with shirts and accessories

secondly, have you tried the internet..you can order from stores that you may not be able to physically get to

and you may be able to bag a bargain in the online sale section..

Re: Women Suits!

I am paranoid about ordering online. COuple of my friends got stuff off the net, like size 0s and it was still too big :o But then again they are a size below 0

Re: Women Suits!

barfee get your butt to a big department store in your area and go to their petite section and spend one whole day trying on suits....remember that aside from your own preferences it also needs to appeal to the interviewer for you to make a good impression. The jacket should either cover the hip or end right above the hip. it shouldnt be tight but should look professional and still be comfortable. If you are lucky you should be able to find a good one under $200. and yeah i wouldnt order something like a suit online either. the only thing u should order online is shoes in my personal experience....i've had bad experience with coats etc ordered online.
and do consider sara's advice...at express they will tailor your pants for you for a little extra money.

Re: Women Suits!

Thank you guys I will start from today's lunch hour :o

Re: Women Suits!

try Kasper brand, at most better dept. stores. Their clothes are fairly modest sometimes and fit really nicely. Coldwater Creek is great for modest clothing, but sometimes their clothes look a little old. Also try Casual Corner.

Re: Women Suits!

Try J. Crew. They have some good looking suits. Also Nordstrom.

It's unlikely that an off-the-rack suit will fit perfectly. But tailors can do great things to them, including the jacket.

Re: Women Suits!

outlet stores are great.

Re: Women Suits!

Ein? Express does them for free , but its certain styles and stuff only, you’d hav to ask the sales associate for details..dry cleaners can do them too, and a lot quicker as well (xprs wud take abt a week or so I think) but for a small fee..

Re: Women Suits!

check out NY & Company and Kohls...Kohls has a lot of variety of styles and good brands so you must find what you're looking for there.

Re: Women Suits!

MYwish sucks, she PMs me adn then disappears :o
