Re: Women should not attend Eid namaz
fine , may be u,ll be right at urs
Um if a woman has time to waste (which is not very likely to begin with if she has kids), i think masjid wud be the LAST place she’d go to for time-pass.
Also, going to socialize and wanting to get to know more people and be part of a community…thats not “timepassing” or wasting time either. or wud ppl rather that women not know anyone aside from their inlaws/immediate families?
Re: Women should not attend Eid namaz
I think it varies from region to region, the masjid where I went all the arabs were dressed "decent" i.e hijabs and abayas whilst the desis were wearing half sleeves with transparent duppatas slipping off their heads.
Re: Women should not attend Eid namaz
Well i think it has to do with culture
For desi women going to the mosque is just not something they do
culture hi nahin hia jaanay ka, whilst in arab countries like Morocco its something normal
no one is surprised when something like that happens. In Holland at 11.30 PM yesterday i saw many elderly women running back home from the mosque.
Pakistani bechaari aurtain kahaan aise karti hain
Saans bhe kabhi bahoon thee
aur kitne saray serials on ZEE TV kaun dekhe ga
i think u people are too hard on our desi woman
Yahan koi inlaws ke paas nahin rehta, maybe a few.
The people who come are always all the same, all know each other, meet each other regularly etcetera
Lekin ab offtopic horaha hai,
jo maine kehna tha keh diya,
baqi havent much to add, besides more incidents abt SOME womens weird behavior in masjid.

You r making it an issue wich exhaust the girls who r innocent coz everywhere the situation is difrnt.
Anyways Im SORRYY
There was atleast 50 women in my masjid this morning and about 250 men.
I could hear the women but could not see them. I think ALL 50 were talking at the same time…lol
NONE of the men were talking.
Do I need to present more proof than that?
Re: Women should not attend Eid namaz

Re: Women should not attend Eid namaz
what you guys need to understand....people use a mosque as a social gathering....so on occasions such as eid....people can see what they have dressed in their finest eid clothing...and thus people have to one up each other in terms of shock value....and thus the gossip, the fashionista attitude....and impressing each other that their son is studiyng from a foreign university, etc.....
Sorry to all the women who are civilized at the masjid. Sorry to those who stay quiet and listen attentively. I am sorry but this has to be said.. women need to stay at home if they can't control their mouths! Poor imam it was his first time giving khutba, poor guy couldn't concentrate plus he was nervous. They (the women this morning) are shameless! The Prophet (pbuh) 's words are right on when he said women should pray at home, they get more rewards like that, even for jummah and eid! More sawab then they would praying at the prophet's masjid even!!! Even in Aisha (raa)'s time, she said something like,, if the Prophet was alive, he would have banned the women from coming to the masjid! So imagine this was Aisha (raa) and her time!! One more thing, don't get me started on the fashion show :) women come without hijab mash'Allah......
May Allah forgive this ummah!

Which masjid did you make jummah at? Was that at Makkah masjid? The women in my family have long since stopped going for Eid salaat.
