Women in the Military

Right now, roughly 20% of US military is made of women. And Ive actually met some of them personally…one of them is a close and personal friend of mine. She is one of my role models in life.

How do we feel about women in the military?

Re: Women in the Military

I feel it is great!!! I always wanted to join the Air Force, but my dad would not allow it, I wanted to learn martial arts…but was not allowed :hinna:

Re: Women in the Military

Basically right now the US Military is using women as pawns to have as many soldiers as they can possibly have. I think women shouldn't be foot soldiers they should have easier and less stressful position in the Military. Im not saying that as a chauvinistic man, but because the whole war scenario is daunting on both men and women. At least women shouldn't be allowed to face that.

I look at war through an esoteric point of view. The many souls the more blood sacrifices the better the reward.

Re: Women in the Military

There are desans in the US military?

Re: Women in the Military

I don’t think women should be in military because it’s a fact that men have more physical strength than women and body of women is not supposed to bear so much of hardship. I know one who in military and she is an excellent lady but still I believe it’s the way things are from Allah I can not imagine a woman going to a war while she is pregnant or leaving her infant/ child with others. Plus if a woman becomes a POW I don’t even want to think what she may suffer

Re: Women in the Military

Firstly and most importantly, women in uniform are hot.

Apart from that, I think its a good thing to have women in the Military. A very noble way to repay your debt to your motherland. But I reckon they should be kept to the technical corps - medical and engineers - and not the fighting ones.

Re: Women in the Military

I applied last year for the military and got through some initial tests but then i couldn't continue because of my knee problem. This year i am planning to apply again insha Allah.

Re: Women in the Military

I concur...

Fact is few women are going to be able to act as the shock troops in any millitary.... there is a chronic shortage of men so if women couldfill that gap why not but it's not practicable.

That said Women excellent qualities in millitary thier patience and endurance makes them great snipers.... thier logistical abilities are also much better than those of men.

They are very capabel technical operators and would even make excellent candidates fornefarious activities such as espionage.

But at the end of the day few women are going to be any use as shock forces in fact that is where they will prove to be a liability unless they are the 1% who can actually fight better than most men...

Re: Women in the Military

I'm all for women in the military, we even have women airforce pilots in PAF now. However, I still don't think a woman would ever make it as a SSG commando. But for technical positions we should definitely have the right people working on merit, men or women.

Re: Women in the Military

Agreed:k:

Just as a side note Women make great commandos as commandos aremainly used for light raids and small scale highly effective attacks…

But shock troops need to be much more brutal and Women like most men dont come into this role naturally.

Re: Women in the Military

hmm maybe Faris, but the sort of rigorous training these commandos go through that you hear about requires a lot a physical endurance.

Re: Women in the Military

True very true but the few Women that get through that training are as good as any man. The difference is that commandoes take a lot of pride but in truth the real fighting is done by other troops too, and in general regular forces are no less capable than the specialist ones.

But with commandoes and so on you can always deny thier existance when things get awry.... how the hell does anyone ever cope with the morale shame of losing battalions of Women troops captured by the enemy....

Hence the shame is doubled so thats where the real liability is you see.

Re: Women in the Military

True, real fighting is done by the normal troops but usually its the better men out of these normal troops that get the chance to train and become a commando. I don't think any country employs women in its special forces/elite units. The US does not have female Green Berets and there are no women in the British SAS either.

Re: Women in the Military

True.

Maybe no matter how hard the Woman few have the stamina and staying power, let alone the dedication to kill with pleasure than such men posses.

Re: Women in the Military

i can already see atleast one guppan running thru the jungles of nam with a shoulder launcher, and mud on her face, striking terror deep in the hearts of the viet cong..

"the cong are p*gs," she muttered under her breath. "and when will i have my next BM, i wonder. this damn agent orange is doing a number on my acne that even this mud mask seems to struggle against."

Re: Women in the Military

Re: Women in the Military

Re: Women in the Military

I admire women in graceful uniform.

Re: Women in the Military

We were living in Pakistan during the Kargil war and all they showed on the tele were stories of soldiers, tributes to soldiers, female soldiers, families of soldiers and whatnot. I was very touched even though I was very young at the time and I had decided to become a millitary doctor, hence making my mother happy because I was a daaktar and making myself happy because I was in the millitary. And then I grew up. :@:

Men and women in the millitary are truly inspirational people.

Re: Women in the Military

BBC when you were being inpired by those TV soldiers I was in the NLI right at the front of the Kargil campaign. Shucks it seems so long ago… :whistling:
