Women in Islamic History

I need a book or two or three about the Women in Islam (from history) by a competent writer. Something that can help boost me in a pure Islamic way ..both their life as housewives and in the field (i.e any).

I humbly request you to please help me A.S.A.P.

Regards,
Beenysh.

Re: Women in Islamic History

Two good books that come to mind instantly are the following.

"Fatima Zahra" (Fatimah the gracious) it is a biography of the blessed daughter of Rasool-Allah and was written by Shia Scholar Muhammad Ordni

And the second is "Famous Women of the Islamic world" written a long time ago 1920's I think by the Daughter of the King of Egypt at the time. I think her name was Princess Hussien.

Both are classic books that I hope you and anyone with an interest in this period of History and this particular subject should read.

I will write about some more later when I get home and also I will ask my Wife if theres any she can reccomend as this is more her field.
