will there is a strick Dress code for women in Islam and we are bound to follow that and iIF we dont we will be Punished for that..i dont know about the Jannat part

Verses that have to do with hijab:
– Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allaah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful”

*[al-Noor 24:31] *

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”
al-Ahzaab 33:59

Also regarding Rasulullah (SAW) ,wearing niqaab:
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: (Radiallahu Anha) who said, "The riders would pass us while we were with the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam). When they got close to us, we would draw our outer cloak from our heads over our faces. When they passed by, we would uncover our faces*Abu Dawood Book 10, Hadith # 1829*

well i am also a muslim and i am strict about everything. I cover everything except for my head. Maybe, i should consider wearing one.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). [al-Ahzaab 33:59]

The answer is in the same verse.

Although a lot of people think that Allah sees whats in the heart -I believe that a hijab is important for women. And the verses posted above are quite clear on this matter.

then u have not covered anything girl.....face is the centre pf attraction of any women or men...and covering the face is the most importnt thing..ur point saying "covering everything except head" is not t all good...face must have to be covered.....and if some 1 does not covered her face, shewill be punished by ALLAH.....

Covering the head is different than covering the face. Please keep that in mind.

If covering the face were so important in Islam, then it won't be ordered that muslim women keep their faces uncovered during Hajj when there is so much inter-mixing of men and women.

Thank you for your fatwa, any way.

good point. I mean i am not against the hijab. i amactually considering it. However, covering the face i think is a bit hard.

May Allah [swt] give you strength to do that and make things easier for you and all other Muslim sisters.

You look at me and call me oppressed,
Simply because of the way I'm dressed,
You know me not for what's inside,
You judge the clothing I wear with pride,
My body's not for your eyes to hold,
You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mold,
I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave,
It's Allahs pleasure that I only crave,
I have a voice so I will be heard,
For in my heart I carry His word,
" O ye women, wrap close your cloak,
So you won't be bothered by ignorant folk",
Man doesn't tell me to dress this way,
It's a Law from God that I obey,
Oppressed is something I'm truly NOT,
For liberation is what I've got,
It was given to me many years ago,
With the right to prosper, the right to grow,
I can climb moutains or cross the seas,
Expand my mind in all degrees,
For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,
When He sent Islam,
To You and Me!
