Some of the most breathtakingly beautiful girls/women I've ever met have been in hijab. Not only in hijab, but with little to no make-up on too.

You are talkin about way far from the topic, allah made lot of
difference b/w male and female, you can’t compare to each
other. Now,if we got the topic about menz,i would be the first one to
give the comments, rite now you talk about only womenz hijab.zubair.

Admin,

I feel i'm being prejudiced against here.

The reason why I posted that reply was to show faceup's contradiction regarding sunnah/hadith, because of his statement:

Sunnah according to Bukhari & co with clear proof of major Fabrications & lies<<

you mentioned attack on a personal level, then what is this:

By chosing not to answer, I 'll assume that you reject any idea that Hijab should apply for men. My friend, This double standard is not acceptable! <<

way to go TheRevolutionist.. who can read and argue against ur previous reply..

.. i am sure even a three credit course does not have that much material to read..

so that ends the discussion on this thread i am sure..

can i make anymore confused faces ??? the whole reply by ‘TheRevolutionist’ has disappeared ???

The whole idea of the present day BURQAA or the veiling of the face came about during the time of Khalifa Mamoon. Islam or the Hadith has nothing to do with it. As per Islam both women and men should conceal parts of their bodies that are indecent to expose. Both need to wear loose clothes and for women they are required to cover their heads by a scarf or Hijab.
Even during hajj the women follow the hijab set forth by Islam. The Saudi women who otherwise look like NINJAS expose their faces with only the hair covered while performing hajj. This is clear indication of hijab as per Islam and the Sunnah.
Also both men and women are advised to keep their gaze low, abstain from profanity, speak softly and avoid laughing with their mouth wide open.
Keeping beards or wearing shalwars or pants above knee height is not obligatory but rather the Sunnah. Many people follow these types of Sunnah for the love of the prophet (PBUH).
