Women: Hell - What Quran says about it.

Saallaamm…read on…

There is not a single verse in the Qur’an that states this fact, but there is an authentic Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) whereby he states: “I looked at hellfire and I saw the majority of it to be women.” However, this is one of those Hadiths that get grossly misunderstood and misquoted by Muslims and non-Muslims alike. That’s why, Muslim scholars have clearly explained that the Hadith has nothing derogatory or discriminatory against women because the number of women in the world exceeds the number of men in all cultures and all times. By the way that’s one of the reasons Islam allows polygamy in the first place. Now, if Allah were to select a certain percentage (let’s say 20 percent) of the people who lived from both sexes, then most of them would be women. That’s why, the Hadith should not be taken with any further dimension other than its numerical one.

Good Luck.

Jawaan

For the followers of Sunnah, the 7th century hadiths/sunnah of the Prophet is the meaning of the Quran. In many cases Sunnah even supercedes the Quran - your current post is a good example.

faceup!

Shaheen,

Chose to come to the OK Coral packing a water gun!

Why don't you tell us MORE about "women in Hell" from the 7th century Sunnah compiled by Bukhari & Co. Tell us about Islam as per Bukhari which is the cornerstore of "your Islam".

Shaheen and faceup,

This is not your personal battle zone. Take your personal vendettas elsewhere.
