Discuss, for those of us not married, why people get angry or saddened when the partner seeks pleasure outside of union. As i understand it the “pleasure” you seek outside of any “union” (bf-gf or marriage) is purely for fun while within the union is for emotions and support.
How did you figure that out? Women don't forgive and forget, they will bring up the follies of their partners over and over again. Haven't you heard the anecdote: Commit a mistake and forget because there will always be your better half to remind you of that. It is actually not an anecdote; it is satire.

Brother, those who can’t control themselves or wish to have multiple partners after marrying should have never considered marriage, hence they can keep their house, car & both halves of whatever else they own no matter how many times he gets caught. Any man who asks a women to commit herself to him & then betrays her deserves to lose everything he owns, thats how serious every1 should take marriage, especially in our culture as divorced women have a bad time though no fault of their own. Marriage is no joke, it’s for life. Don’t get me wrong, i’m a guy too, the same things go through my head that go the heads of those who behave animals, it’s only natural, but we are also given restraint, we ain’t wild animals.
I don’t believe in forgiveness for such a mistake, lifes too short, if you got kids then thats another story.

I am not a women, so I may not be correct. However, I will explain the way I see it. All relationships have a power struggle factor associated with them. Inevitably (intentionally or intentionally), people try to get higher power position in relationships. In contemporary society, we have a bunch of factors which can make one more powerful in a relationship. A short list of those item will include wealth, beauty, knowledge, anger, status, religion, love, truth, etc. In relationship with relatively balanced power levels, adultery is much less likely to take place (or will be both sided), because it risks losing ones current power level.
Manifestation of sadness means that the saddened person was at a lower power level. Manifestation of anger means that the angry person was at a higher power level. A lower power level person is more likely to forgive compared to a person with higher power level.

In my view, contemporary society assumes that men and women think alike (or should think alike). While societies have managed to lower the difference in gender thought processes, it is unable to eliminate the differences. Your question above is assuming that both gender think alike.

so what you're saying is that a person has a higher power position due to factors such as beauty, wealth , anger whatever......so a person at a lower power position lacks beauty, wealth, confidence or whatever?
