ADELAIDE, July 11: Australian researchers said on Tuesday they may have found a way to fertilise an egg with cells from any parts of the body, rather than sperm, in a new study which offers hope to infertile men and even lesbian couples.
Australian infertility scientist Orly Lacham-Kaplan said early research on mice could produce a breakthrough for many men who have no sperm or sperm-making cells. “This is the group for which this kind of technique probably will be very helpful,” she said. “A lot of (these) people would like to father their own biological children.”
Lacham-Kaplan said the research, if successful in humans, also theoretically could allow babies to be born without any input from men, although she admitted that such an outcome could open up an ethical can of worms.
“If, as a technology, it would be used as a treatment for infertile couples then I would accept it very well,” she told Reuters in a telephone interview. “However I think we need to draw the line where it is used, and I believe a lot of ethical groups would draw the line.”
The process has “mimicked” fertilisation with sperm, allowing the team to grow embryos in laboratory cultures.-Reuters
Oh ya, I have heard that as well ... but I also heard this morning that the test are failing so far ... let see what happens ... I myself dont care about these test.
Correct me if im wrong theyre still doing research on it.?!?!
Women can not have babies with out the drop of sperm because, it is mentioned in the quran more than 10times that Allah has created Man from a drop of sperm!!!
Its contradicting the Quran.
see these verses:
1. an-Nahl 16:4.7
2. al-Kahf 18:37.28
3. al-Hajj 22:5.22
4. al-Mu'minun 23:13.9
5. al-Mu'minun 23:14.5
6. al-Fatir 35:11.11
7. Ya Sin 36:77.13
8. al-Mu'min 40:67.13
This will give rise to single motherhood and lesbian/gay parenthood, no doubt....as if we dont have enough of those already.
I just hope that any woman who tries to have a baby without a man being involved, only has daughters. No sons for them.
Realistically, anything can happen in this world. Allah SWT created knowledge, and gave humans a brain, which has the ability to search and discover that knowledge. Its up to us as to how we use that knowledge. If it is used for genuine and ethical purposes, its fine by me. But when you cross the line into having people have kids without a man for the heck of it, its unethical, and irresponsible.
I believe this process has a strong value, similar to cloning....both can lead to solving the cures for many diseases. But using it for purposes which are avoidable should be avoided.

Allah also created Essa (Jesus) (AH) without sperm, didn't he? and when we die, HE will resurrect us without sperms, right?
Now, don't you think that "Qayama" is sooo very close ? All these scientists are working to prepare this world for 'fitna-e-dajjal', who would claim to be "GOD" and would have almost all GOD-like characteristics which would include providing baby to childless-couple (baby would be BORN to lady of that couple) etc.

Allah explains in the quran..If He says BE, IT IS.
On resurrection, we would only be raised up again not born again.

I do believe there is a Dajjalic culture working hard for his arrival.I would like to talk about that,But this particular issue of women having babies without sperms, i just think it contradicts the quran.
also Dajjal can give life to the dead but i havent heard that he can give life to a human in the womb. If im wrong, please enlighten me.
All is the Beloved and the lover is a veil
The Beloved is alive and the lover is dead (RUMI)
If they are cloning, they are not the ACTUAL creator, they are putting things together with the beleif that they are creating, Allah SWT puts the soul in it.
If you go through Quran, Allah asks people like ‘do you grow the plant by sowing the seed? no its actually US who grows it’ (not the actual words).
In other places, Allah asks people like ‘when you place sperm in womb (by sexual intercourse) do you think you created a human being? no, its US who created’ (not actual words).
So its obvious, that Allah SWT puts the soul and they (scientists) get to beleive that they are creating a life. (big HAHAHA on such scientists).
Human cloning, creating humans without the sperm, as being discussed here, will happen and they will begin to get some results. But there is open discussion whether the 'creation' will look like us, how much, how much of the mind will be like us.... The shell might be human-like but how about inside, where it matters? No one knows the answer to that. Allah (sbwt) said that only two things have not been give to mankind: Life and Death. These two can not be controlled by man....then can be managed which will make the scientists think they are/will controlling these. But before they perfect these processes that's when the show ends. There's a lot of ground to be covered between now and then.

sorry ur point is incorrect becuase u said that allah says in the quran that allah has created man from sperm ... that is in past tense ... and is not contradictory to wat is being proposed using this new technique
To do in life is to appreciate it. To live life is to lose it. I dont know what I am saying so I will stop saying it.
