Women at gym

Re: Women at gym

Cardio can actually help one lose weight, not as much as combined training can but it does help. As long as you're spending energy and taking care of that daily maintenance caloric chart of yours, you ought to lose fat by doing just cardio or anything for that matter. :)

:mocking::whistling:

I know you’re just making a point…so am I. I do read a lot of your posts and I never said that you’re not “pro woman”.

MY point in my reply was that most people (men and women) have many misconceptions when it comes to weight training for women. Forget men, most women themselves don’t take the time to learn about the benefits of weight training and usually ignore it b/c they think it will make them “bulk up”. I’m not surprised or offended by your original post. I’m just dissappointed that you jumped to conclusions (like most people do) about this instead of taking a few minutes to do a google search.

Re: Women at gym

Yes you are right, I take my words back when I say you cannot..its true you can lose wt with cardio alone..but i was only thinking in terms of significant wt loss for those who are overwt or obese...I guess what I was trying to get at is that wt/strength training has many benefits for both males and females.

Re: Women at gym

Guys guys guys … cool down :smash:. Let me clarify on behalf of Shak.

Shaks above comment was based on the assumption that all (probably desi) women go to gym to lose weight / slim down. Hence, what he really meant was “What are you using all those machines for woman, you’re already thin!”. The argument as such, if I understood it correctly, remains valid (see footnote 1).

HOWEVER (and there’s a very BIG however), as duly noted by miss paheli, his basic assumption on which he based his argument is flawed. Not all women use weight machines to get skinny!

Bro Shak. All they want is some triceps and delts … and maybe a bit of fun. What’s wrong with that bro ;)? Besides, some might agree, it usually looks even really sweet (footnote2)

[footnote 1. If, however, he meant to include not-so-proper-thin women as well and his statement wasn’t specific to only proper thin women, and, then it is invalid indeed!]
[footnote 2. Now I’ve been dreaded for suggesting this in another thread, and had to aplogize multiple times :kursi:]

Hoping the issue is settled … (not that I would mind a prolonged gossip and chit chat, if it is not  ).

No worries, the women here would love chit chat gossip anyway :D

Re: Women at gym

And thanks for sticking up for me in this women world  Men should band together :smooth:

(Couldnt resist haha  )

Re: Women at gym

Damn, looks like I really did settle the issue!

Now I feel guilty of denying people their little chitty chat :(.

Re: Women at gym

I know :(

I wanted to get under the women's skin, like really wind them up :(

Re: Women at gym

hahahahaha .... I was thinking to do just that too, but don't know why I chose to give an honest and honourable reply.

Might've been better if I had just accused paheli of spreading falsehood and doing drugs, no way a woman can gain curves in just over a year playing fair :D.
