Re: Women are more likely to be physically aggressive towards their partners than men
Women are abused more in India and Pakistan, for sure. This thread is about the West though. As Theorist mentioned, it depends on location and I think male abuse is quite prevalent here. I don’t know the intention of the OP, but I’m not suggesting it’s the fault of women, I’m saying it’s a cultural problem, part of which is caused by other men. Men who abuse men, or men who mock male abuse victims.
You’re right in that all abuse is wrong, which is why it’s sad that certain posters go right to making light of male abuse. I’ll try a knock knock joke in the next female rape thread, and see how well that goes. Apparently being a "defender of male abuse’ is an insult.
Re: Women are more likely to be physically aggressive towards their partners than men
“Certain” posters simply have the position we are comparing apples to oranges. There have been “certain” threads where this was discussed very thoroughly. One about university speech shouted down by ladies which affected a poor male student badly and scarred him. Another about ridiculous stats that were put in perspective by said “such” posters. As for intention of OP, neither can I read OP mind. But it was tad over the top.
One para in this links states (and I paraphrase from 2 days ago read)
Women engage in controlling behavior - which can lead to violence from both sides. Clever way of assigning blame for violence from men to women’s controlling behavior.
