it’s an age old custom…a chivalrous thing to do if you will…sort of like holding doors open and paying for meals and such
it’s just expected
i’m sure it comes from the idea that women are the weaker sex etc
i have no idea what would happen to me, but i know that my first thought would most definitely be for my children…after that good luck to the rest
