JazakAllah, What a beautiful article.

For the eyes to assume superiority over the nose because it is in an anatomically higher position is preposterous. The superiority of the Nose is easily rectified in the absence of light. Yet to further suppose that the Nose is superior to the hands, since it can smell that which cannot be felt, can be cast aside when plagued by a common cold. Yet when all these parts are in danger, it is the feet who usher on a hasty retreat and so becomes the hero of the day.

It becomes so hard for Muslim men and Women of our time to swallow whats written in these articles, due to the conditioning which we go through in a capitalist free market world.
Sh. Hamza Yusuf said it best, he states that we are conditioned to live a hectic fast paced life where our ultimate goal is shifted from the Akhirah to the world. This is what the west imposes upon individuals and we submit willfully. Complaints of "I need to make a living" and "This is the only way of life" appear on the scene which are totally irrelevant to whats required of us as Muslims.
There is a proper system of living, of sustaining mankind. There is a lifestyle which can bring prosperity to our lives and the lives of every human being on the planet. There is a system out there.
Uswah-e-Hasanah, the perfect example was the Prophet pbuh, and he has left us a beautiful and complete way of life which we ALL should adhere to inshAllah.
I pray Allah guides me, allows me to establish this lifestyle, and allow this Ummah to become one under it.
