There would have been no ‘valid’ reason had it been a man attacking a woman had she cheated on him.

This, thank you. We all agree that she shouldn’t have hit him but then people go on to defend her actions. Condemn her like you would a guy hitting a woman, no excuses. If you actually look and notice, there is a lot of “soft” misandry that exists in Western culture, but just because it’s not overt doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful.
