LAHORE: A woman lodged a first information report (FIR) against a man on Wednesday, accusing him of illegally detaining and raping her for one year in Iqbal Town Police precincts.
According to Iqbal Town Police, Shama alleged that Usman brought her to Lahore from Gujranwala one year ago and had promised to marry her. She accused him of raping her for one year without solemnising the marriage. Sources in the Police Department said Shama had been willingly cohabiting with Usman for the last one year and got annoyed when Usman brought another girl to the house.
i think internal police department sources point of view carries more weight…
how it can be possible that a female who is from a city is brought to another city (without her consent) and detained by a person for more than one year could not get a chance to flee to make others aware of the whats going wid her.
beside if this the scence then it wud a case of kidnapped first…

hmmm more like a case of a love story went wrong. She moved with him from other city thinking that he will marry her. After one year it dawned to her that he never intended to marry. Even if there was a consent for sex, her calim that she was raped carries some weight as she was lured into it. Lets hope police does not turn this into a Hudood ordinance case against her.
