He tried, the repubs accused him of launching 'Monica missiles' in a 'wag the dog attempt'. None-the-less an aQ training camp was taken out in Afghanistan. What did Bush do on his clock? He recieved a report titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike U.S.” So what was Bush doing? Bush was on vacation in Auguest of 2001, must have been nice.
By the way have you taken a look at the clowns running for the GOP presidental nomination Kaleem? With the exception for McCain, the republican party is screwed.

OG it's this idea that, "I can do anything, fk you" which has been the tagline of the entire Bush team for the last 6 years, there's no conspiracy about it. Be it Cheney, Bush, Wolfowitz, Bolton, Gonzales, they all have this attitude that they can do anything, that they are above rules and laws. And while this is a common attitude in Washington the Bush team has taken it to a whole new level. It's abuse, it's frequencey, it's scale, and it's range is out of control, we see it ranging from giving a raise to a mistress to putting troops in harms way. You seem to be shrugging you shoulders pretending that this is just an isolated incident.

Have you ever worked in a human resources department of a big company? Crap like this happens all the time. Frustrated old dudes often try to curry favor with young sweet things by promoting them beyond their talents. This is not a trait that is exclusive to Republicans. All over the wrold this happens thousands of times per day.
Trying to string this together with other "neocon", percieved abuses is just so much crap. The guy was thinking with his little head, end of story.

Aw come on, don't you have any romance in your soul? Men do stupid stuff for chicks. Just because Shaha is not Pamela Anderson, does not mean that she is not Wolfies little love bug. If Prince Charles gives up Lady Di and incurs the wrath of the Queen, because he thinks Camilla Parker Bowles is a Hottie, then obviously there is human behavior that we simply don't fully understand.
Perhaps this is less about politics, and more about pathetic relationships.

You want to chalk it up to love OG feel free but the fact remains that the Bush adminstration has time and time again thumbed its noses at the law and at rules and regulations. But at the end of the day this isn’t about a president giving a mistress an unjust raise. Its about the underlying layers of who Wolfowitz is, where he came from, and what he had done, all which are draped with curruption, lack of personal responsibility, and pungent arrogance.
