Sometimes less talkative people tend to talk more if spouse is talkative. I've observed it.

Why don't you try to spend sometime with him before making any decision. If possible, talk to him over the phone or meet him for lunch/dinner then it might be easier for you to decide.
Yeah, the observation thing. One of my friend is quite talkative and social while her husband is not - they're doing pretty good. Then one of my co-worker is very quite & serious while his wife talks a lot. They seem to be fine too. So this was my observation.:)
