Hi everyone, I’m new to the forums. I’ve been pondering some investment opportunities in Karachi and I came across a really interesting development but I’m somewhat skeptical. Apparently there are plans to build an offshore vodka distillery near Karachi. The end product will be called Wodka because of obvious pronunciation problems.
Has anyone else heard about this? I’d love some more information.
PinkPaki where did you come across this really interesting development to build an offshore vodka distillery near Karachi? Do you have anything to back it up?
The 'Wodka' part makes one question the credibility of this post.
Actually, I was at a cocktail reception in Washington, DC. There were some visiting Pakistani dignitaries there and well, you know how it goes. My memory of the evening is a bit hazy but there was talk of the distillery being associated with the twin developments of Bundal and Buddo. So, has anyone heard anything?

So what are the pronounciation problems? I can bet 80+% people do not know the difference in pronounciation of W vs V, anyway.
btw wats a difference b/t W n v prounciation????...n u r rite...no difference it gonna make...since only one alphabet exist in urdu language which is (wao) make sound like W or V.
When pronouncing a word with 'v' (e.g. van) your upper teeth should touch your lower lip. When pronouncing a word with 'w' (e.g. what) your lips should make a round shape to get the sound out.

Vhat are you guys talking about? I'll be vaiting in the wan.
It's no big deal. Sugar mills in Pakistan are producing liquor from molasses (by-product). Personally, I think Ethanol can be produced instead and it's much more valuable..but oh well..we are talkin' about Pakistanis here..and not Brazilians
