one of several pieces of Faiz that I absolutely love... but I think the text posted above has a couple of errors. I hope this wasn't in a section on Jang itself but a reader contribution ??
The actual piece is as follows (with the corrections highlighted).

woh log bohot khush qismat thay
jo ishq ko kaam samajhtey thay
yaa kaam se aashqi kartey thay
hum jeetey jee masroof rahey
kuch ishq kiya kuch kaam kiya
kaam ishq ke aarrey aata raha
aur ishq se kaam ulajhta raha
phir aakhir tung aa kar hum ne
donoN ko adhoora chor diya
kaam ishq ke aarrey aata raha aur ishq se kaam ulajhta raha
mera khayal hai yahan aap ne kaam hi ko badnaam kar diya hai Ishq tau saaf bach nikla :D
I think for these two lines original is correct

^ naah... I know many of Faiz's pieces by heart :)... but just in case, I picked up my copy of "Nuskhhaye Wafa" just to double check.

well agar Faiz sahib ne aisa hi likha hai tau hamari kaya auqaat 
but still in both lines “kaam” hi kaam kharab kar raha hai
