1. There is a view that Jinnah was a brilliant lawyer, who fought and won his case, for creating Pakistan. Despite the fact that there was little grass root support within the Muslim community-except from the elite. The Bitish too were keen to have a divided (& weak )India, and supported Jinnah.

Thus without Jinnah there would have been no Pakistan.

2. The other view is that the Muslims had started a movement for a seperate homeland in the mid 1800’s and that Jinnah’s input was but a continuation of the process. Thus the credit for creating Pakistan should go to the various people who strove for the creation of Pakistan, and not Jinnah alone.

I for one believe that “without Jinnah there would have been no Pakistan”. Without mass support of Muslims (who were divided), except from the elite includeing the Aligarh Muslim University, he also realised that the British would support him-since “divide & rule” has always worked for them..

1. This is all Hindus can do. To hide their own mistake, they balme it to British for creation of pakistan. I can understand Malhot’s comment if he says, 'British were behind creating hatred between Hindus and Muslims" I cannot resort to the fact that the British supported respected Jinnah Sahab in creating Pakistan. In fact, it was Hindu narrow minedness and wicked plan to “take revenge of 1000 years rule” from the Muslims by not letting them have Pkaistan and then kill and exterminate them like we had an example in Gujrat Massacar. It was Hindu who’s narrow mindedness resulted in the demand of Pakistan, Hindu, who was not willing to give Muslims their rights and was already running “Shuddhi and Sunghtan” movements… Baghal main churi moun main raam raam

2. This point is what I am hearing for the first time. Nobody started the struggle for Pakistan till 1933 when Jinnah Sahab came back from England ending his self exile.
