Re: Wishing you all...
For my family, its a day to bring some magic to my boys. Yes, Santa Claus comes! They get some presents and are just in awe of it all. Its a day to gather family and friends, share a feast, share in the joys of giving and receiving gifts. The happiness of being together and for being thankful for all the we have. Its the time of year to reflect on the past year and look to the New Year and make resolutions.
But I think your question was directed more to practicing Christians. Christmas for them is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who they beleive was the Son of God.
There are many stories and fables that have to do with this time of year - not just christmas. Many holidays - Eid was not too long ago, Hanukah has just passed, christmas and Jinnah day were yesterday. A new calendar year begins next week. So this time of wishing others a happy holiday season is not limited to those of christian faith.
We had SUCH a nice day yesterday! Thanks once again, good people of GS for your warm wishes and I wish the same to you!
