Put half a lemon with a teaspoon of salt in the fridge overnight, its antibacterial and will remove any odours and next day use a regular cloth , dipped in the lemon juice to clean the fridge … all the spots will come off easily leaving the fridge sparkly clean and smelling nice

And to add , ensure that you wash the fruit compartment properly before placing the new stuff in ... If the compartment isnt washed , the bacteria can lead the fresh fruit to go off pretty quickly ...

I scrub the fridge with baking soda paste, I leave the paste on the fridge walls foe at least 15-20 minutes then folllowed by wiping everything off and drying the fridge walls.
I also keep some baking soda in an open bowl to absorb the smells etc...it does help.
Re: Wise Tips - Keeping the fridge smelling nice and clean
Ooh good thread. I just cleaned my fridge this week.
Actually I didn't find any smells...but I did find alot of crumbs and it was kinda hard to get them all out without a broom/brush.... otherwise I just wiped the "floor" and drawers with water.
I'm extra vigilant about keeping my onions in a plastic bag, so that the peel wont' come off and make a mess in the fridge compartment. Btw I know most ppl store onions/potatoes outside...but its so hot in my kitchen that I'd rather not do that.
