A guy who was making 6 to 7 hundred thousand dollars in USA, resigns and get a job of 200,000 dollars in middle east coz he feels his daughters shud not stay in western society and is now facing discrimination coz he is black.

may be i did not write it clear enough, he was makign 600,000 to 700,000 dollars in USA and now is making 200,000 dollars per year in ME.

So it must be the daughters and the culture and the fear that his daughter might end up doing what he was doing in USA when he was young and single.

ooooooops sorry my mistake looks like its night time.I read it again anywayz its personal choice whats your prefrence.Because some people do mind discrimination and some think that Islamic countires are safer then West.Usually people are very confused about raising children in West.

^^ Nah, most aren't as bothered about what sons get upto. Imo it's usually just the daughter's behaviour everyone goes crazy about.
I think it was a wise decision if he was a muslim, or if he just wanted to keep his duaghters safe.
Personally i'm just in the UK becuase although i hold top level qualifications in Pakistan i need to learn things here that are not available in Pakistan. The UK is the worlds historical compendium (only becuase they've stolen other peoples artefacts) but there is no way i could study to this depth in Pakistan.
As soon as i've completed my education here i'm taking my fanatical person back to Pakistan. I come from a fiercely Islamic background, naturally i will return home to consolidate my faith from kuffar influence.
I'm all for learning the kuffar tactics, but as soon as i've got what i need i'm going back to my people.
In the words of many a loyalist, what use is money if it will keep me from freedom. I'd rather take my freedom and liberty.

If i could create a vehicle for example, for a price of $500-$1000 dollars and it was up to my spec and i knew how to get the most out of it (which i can do as a Mechanic) why would i need to buy a car worth tens of thousands if it wasn't going to be as good as what i could create if i put my mind to it. So why waste money and lose out on pleasure?
i'd rather use a little to go a lot, than use a lot to go a little.

I have lived my life in a muslim country and still i feel I am learning alot more Islam and have become alot more practicing since coming to the UK !
The irony , is that the west are morally and culturaly still alot better then us muslims living in muslim countries ! people believe in the law, discrimination is outcasted , freedom is encouraged , religion is safe ....
those who tend to choose the haram aspects of a culture ignoring all the halal things one could learn are themselves responsible for them doing the kufr ! There are mashallah many muslim families here who have come from Pakistan and they dont drink or gamble ... they chose to have a muslim lifestyle ...
So i think , those who turn western and forget their values after coming to the west are to be blamed for their own actions ... such people wont do themselves a favour even if they move to a muslim country !
however one thing that i totally agree with, Kids need much more time and attention and teaching at home in the western countries as compared to kids brought up in muslim countries ... for they need to be taught excessively what they dont learn in schools .. and most parents feel presured to put in that much effort to bring up their kids ... hence they feel moving to a muslim country is better ...

How old were the daughters? very young or older (HS age)? If they were older..were they “slipping away” b/c the parents weren’t doing enough?
Although i take offense to his idea that girls in west are bad, i can understand from his POV.

Having more then enough money and craving for more is also a curse.(smaller curse)
200,000 is more then enough for decent living. I hope enough to save child education and stuff.
Now for increasing that amount if he is willing to give up what's important to him, I wont consider him wise.

Everyone knows that religion is opium of the middle-classes. The only thing these kids will gain at their daddies relative salary (and education-related job perks) is perspective and decent wardrobe.

well it wasn't a preconception. He lived in the West, and lived the high life... he saw certain things that he didn't like, compared it to his home region , and thought it would be better for his family to move...
it's not for us to pass judgment...he made a decision, and gave up something for the sake of Allah (swt), and who knows maybe it means something to Allah swt..
A lot of people sit and complain about the foreign policy of the West that we support with our tax dollars, the falling moral values of the West...he did something about it that he felt was right, and we have no right to pass judgment on him, just as we have no right to pass jugdement on a person who moved to the West just for money.
