my pc/sound card was hard wired -out to my home stero system in my previous homes so this wasn’t an issue before. In my new home, my study room/home office is far from my family room and I don’t want a run a wire. And I am way too lazy to burn cds. I want my mp3 songs playlist on my personal media player/winamp play music through my home stereo system wirelessly. what are my options?
I googled it and there are a number of ways to do it (wireless router/media player combo, radio fm transmintter, wireless speakers, etc) I am confused as to what is the easiest and least expensive way to accomplish this and yet receive decent quality sound. any folks out there with some experience in this regard?
Thanks. My current router is a wired router that I got with Verizon FIOS (fiber optics internet connection). It seems that if I need to go this route (wireless media player), the first thing I would need to do would be to add a wireless router.
I am getting 5+ mbits per second for $32.00. This is there cheapest residential plan. $10 more and the next upgrade it 15 mbits. There fastest connection is 30 mbits. I am very happy with the service, about four times faster than the T1 line they have at my workplace.
That’s what i’ve “gathered” too
I’m thinking of moving just cuz of this. With my current cable-modem internet we get bursts upto 7-8 mbps too.
Actually it should be a pretty good redundancy option at work. 30 mbps for under $200, how cool is that. Can we request static IPs? Compare this to a T3 costs!
