WPA is better than WEP, but a lot of vendors don't support it. As for WEP cracking, 128 is as easy as cracking 64. Your only target should be keeping out the kiddies around u as u said.
At my place I have WEP enabled and then do MAC filtering, and I change my passphrases every other week. Plus I have Airsnare running on the server to inform me of any new MACs on the network. It scared me a couple of times in the middle of the night when som war-driver passed by. I was thinking of disabling the AP via some automated scripts if new MACs come up suddenly, but haven't had a chance yet.
