sometimes what happens is some network cards are not compatible with the routers so that might cause a problem. i know for a fact this happens with dlink routers because i used to use d link router but now i use belkin and have no problems. did you try to use a dlink card i think that may solve your problem.
another problem might be that your computer might disable the device everyones in a while.
