Have any of you attended a December wedding, in somewhere like US, Canada, or UK (basically at a location where the winter is COLD). How was it? Did the cold weather outside interrupt any of the festivities? Did it matter, since everything was held inside? Any info on the experience would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Winter Wedding Question
I have. No problems with the nikka or the walima.
Re: Winter Wedding Question
my brother got married in the middle of deccember, 2000 in Canada
we had invited about 500 guests and even though there was a huge snow storm everyone came.
we didn't have any major problems because of the weather, just make sure that where ever you hold the wedding has the extra staff for guest coats and extra people to make sure the lobby floor stays nice and dry.
btw, whose getting married? and congrats
Re: Winter Wedding Question
:) Thanks for the info Ramsha and Anil. My fiance and I are most likely having our wedding in December, and just worried about the weather.
Re: Winter Wedding Question
My wedding (in Canada ) was in December- December 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th. The wedding was great and the cold weather didn't bother anyone.
Re: Winter Wedding Question
You may not be able to get any good pictures done outdoors but other than that it should not be a problem. Plus you may get a better deal at wedding venues as there are fewer weddings in winter so they may give you a good break.

Re: Winter Wedding Question
I've been to a few winter weddings of cousins and they were all just fine. Except about 3 years ago, there was a horrible blizzard, and due to that not everyone was able to drive in. Otherwise the ceremony was nice...but of course you can't plan to have like a horse carriage/buggy if you were thinking of that. Also like someone mentioned difficult for photos outside. Also just in case its snowing, see if you can come to the venue and change so outfit isn't ruined by the snow.
