This year I am seeing the cutest things for winter. The headbands are gorgeous and the fingerless gloves are beyond adorable. But the coats… oh the coats are even better!!! Usually I end up buying me a coat around new years when it is about 65% and wear it the following winter. So help me shop for a new coat. Post yours to inspire me!!!

It’s almost mid-december and I am still looking for a coat/parka since October. Anything I like is out of my budget. I mean the average price is $395 CAD, so not fair because we gotta pay tax on top too. Maybe I am not looking at the right stores? any suggestions ladies?

as per the other thread, ask your hubby to buy it for you and you pay the tax on it. 
btw, we pay more taxes than you do, i guess!

RG - i know. Everything droolworthy will leave me without a kidney and I kinda need my kidney more but I forget that when I am trying on the coat.

I came across these in pinterest for winter fashion inspiration and managed to find out where they’re from.
First one
The first one is Stella McCartney from the 2011 winter collection and isn’t available anymore (I searched for it in several places with no luck :(). Also, apparently, it’s two separate pieces, a cape and a faux-fur snood (also by Stella McCartney). In my search for the other two, I did manage to find a similar one online (which I’m considering getting):

I’m really liking the coats with leather sleeves, still debating whether to get one of those.
Am wearing this atm though (minus the dodgy camouflage trousers)!

I am debating the leather sleeves too but I have yet to find the right one!!! The leather has to be soft so it doesn't look bulky.

The detailing on some of this season’s coats is gorgeous, especially the back bow detail, pleating and ruffling on these:
I quite like these as well. However, I’m not so sure where I would wear them to or how appropriate they would be for work.
